The Global Formation Project is a collaborative initiative supporting theological educators, institutions, and leaders with tools for spiritual formation and assessment—bringing together research-informed frameworks, curated resources, and practical applications for real-world contexts.

The challenge: the project held meaningful content, but needed a modern digital home that could communicate value quickly, help users find what they need, and support long-term growth.

The Challenge

Global Formation Project needed a website that could clearly explain a complex initiative and serve as a hub to present the mission, team members, global partner organizations, and relevant resources. A key feature is the site needed an interactive map to showcase where the partner organizations are located around the world.


Approach

I led a collaborative redesign process to align the site’s structure, content, and visuals with the project’s growing scope and international reach. The approach focused on clear pathways for key audiences, modernized UX, and scalable systems for sharing research, resources, and ongoing findings.


Deliverables

Delivered a Squarespace-based website redesign with mockups and revisions, improved resource organization using categories and filters, and a mailing list integration to support ongoing engagement. The scope also included an interactive global project map, responsive testing across devices, SEO best practices, and training so the team can confidently manage updates after launch.


Outcomes

The updated site created a stronger, more user-friendly online presence that better highlights the project’s mission, global partnerships, and expanding research. It also improved resource discoverability and established a foundation for long-term growth, content updates, and increased global visibility.
